Trouble for Digvijay Singh in Sarla Mishra case? BJP, kin demand CBI probe
New Delhi, July 23: Congress leader Sarla Mishra, died under mysterious circumstances more than 18 years ago and now the BJP and her family is demanding a CBI probe into the same.
At the time of her death, Digvijaya Singh and his brother Laxman Singh were accused by the family. Digvijay Singh was the then Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister.

Mishra's brother Anand was quoted as saying in the report, "Is this how you plan to protect daughters? You can't get the murder of a daughter probed by the CBI."
Sarla Mishra, a youth Congress leader, died of burn injuries on February 19, 1997. After the incident came to fore, a massive controversy was triggered.
