Travelling by Road This Chhath Puja? FASTag Annual Pass Can Help You Save Big
With Chhath Puja around the corner, thousands of families are planning road trips to celebrate the festival by the riverbanks. To make these journeys smoother and more cost-effective, the Ministry of Road Transport & Highways has introduced the FASTag Annual Pass, offering travelers an easy and economical way to navigate National Highways and Expressways across India.

A Convenient Gift for Chhath Puja Travelers
The FASTag Annual Pass can be gifted to friends or family during Chhath Puja. Available through the Rajmargyatra app, the process is simple: add the recipient's vehicle number and contact details, verify via OTP, and the pass is activated on the vehicle's existing FASTag. This makes it an ideal festive gift for loved ones who frequently travel by road during the festival.
Cost-Effective and Hassle-Free Travel
Priced at a one-time fee of Rs 3,000, the pass provides year-long validity or up to 200 toll plaza crossings, eliminating the need for frequent recharge of the FASTag. The pass is applicable to all non-commercial vehicles with a valid FASTag and is operational at around 1,150 toll plazas nationwide. Once purchased, the pass activates within two hours on the linked FASTag, ensuring a seamless and stress-free travel experience for road travelers.
Fast Adoption and Growing Popularity
Since its launch on August 15, the FASTag Annual Pass has witnessed a remarkable response, crossing 25 lakh users and completing 5.67 crore transactions within just two months. This surge indicates the growing preference for hassle-free and cashless travel, especially during busy festive seasons like Chhath Puja.
With the festival prompting long road journeys to rivers and family gatherings, the FASTag Annual Pass proves to be a timely solution for travelers seeking convenience and savings. Whether gifting it to family or using it for your own trips, the pass ensures smoother, faster, and more economical travel this Chhath Puja.
