Tragic Hardoi Accident: Sand-Laden Truck Topples Over Hut, Killing 8 Including 4 Children

A horrific road accident has occurred in Hardoi, Uttar Pradesh. In the town of Mallawan in Unnao, a truck loaded with sand lost control and overturned onto a roadside hut.

Eight people, including four children, were killed in the incident. A girl was also injured in the accident, as per Times of India.

Upon receiving information about the incident, the police arrived at the scene, took possession of the bodies, and sent them for post-mortem examination. The injured girl was admitted to a local hospital. According to local residents, a family was sleeping in the hut when the accident happened, as reported by Amar Ujala.

The truck, which was carrying sand from Kanpur to Hardoi, overturned near Octroi number two on Unnao Road in Mallawan town, crushing the hut. The deceased included a husband, a wife, four children, and a relative. The victims were identified as residents of the Nat community, who lived in huts along the road. The family affected by the tragedy belonged to Awadhesh, also known as Balla.

The removal of the sand was carried out with the help of a JCB machine. Crowds of local people gathered at the scene following the accident and informed the police. A police team arrived shortly after and a JCB was brought in to clear the sand from the hut, as reported by Times Of India.

Awadhesh, aged 45, was among those who died in the accident, along with his wife Sudha, daughter Sunaina, and sons Lalla, Buddhu, Hero, and Komal. Awadhesh's daughter Bittu sustained serious injuries and was taken to a community health center in Mallawan. The truck driver, also named Awadhesh, along with his helper Rohit, was detained by the police for questioning.

Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has acknowledged the tragic Hardoi Road accident, extending his condolences to the families of the deceased. He has instructed district administration officials to expedite relief efforts at the scene.
