TN saga continues: Now Sasikala, nephew expelled from party

The expulsion is questionable, since presidium chairman E Madhusudhanan himself was expelled by Sasikala two days ago

Two days after he was expelled by Sasikala from the AIADMK, senior leader and presidium chairman E Madhusudhanan expelled Sasikala and her nephew TTV Dinakaran from the party and posts. There seems to be no end to the political drama ensuing in Tamil Nadu. The expulsion saga continues with leaders from warring camps of the AIADMK claiming the right to the party as well as Jayalalithaa's legacy.

TN saga continues: Now Sasikala, nephew expelled from party

Madhusudhanan who pledged support to O Panneerselvam a day after the former chief minister rebelled, also expelled Dr Venkatesh, a Sasikala loyalist from the party. The validity of the sacking is questionable since Sasikala had expelled Madhusudhanan for joining hands with Panneerselvam and working against the 'party'. The move comes amid confusion over which the official AIADMK is out of the two warring camps.

Saturday is a make or break for the Sasikala faction of the Aiadmk as her proxy, Chief Minister Palanisamy gears up for a floor test. A whip has been issued by the AIADMK asking MLAs to vote in support of Palanisamy but Panneerselvam loyalists such as Mylapore MLA Natraj have chosen to vote against him in violation of the whip.
