TN: Police receive hoax calls claiming to blow up CM, Rajnikanth's house

Chennai police on Saturday evening received two calls claiming that there were bombs planted at homes on Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Palanisamy and actor Rajnikanth, reported ANI.

The first call was made at 1.50 pm in which the caller claimed that there was a bomb at Palaniswamy's residence in Chennai. A bomb squad was sent but no bomb was found.

Then in the evening, another call from the same number claimed that there was a bomb at Rajnikanth's home.

After the call was traced, it was found that they were made from Cuddalore district in Tamil Nadu. A probe has been ordered.

As per latest reports, one person has been arrested for making these calls.
