Vote for INDIA Bloc to Ensure Democracy, Social Justice: TN CM to Voters

In a fervent appeal to the electorate of Dharmapuri, Tamil Nadu, Chief Minister M.K. Stalin criticized the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) at the Centre, urging voters to support the INDIA bloc for the preservation of democracy and social justice in the nation. During a rally on March 29, Stalin highlighted the importance of the upcoming election, positioning it as a critical juncture for Indian democracy.

TN CM: Vote INDIA Bloc for Justice

Stalin's critique extended to Union Finance and Corporate Affairs Minister Nirmala Sitharaman, questioning the BJP's electoral funding amidst Sitharaman's claims of insufficient funds to contest in the Lok Sabha polls. The Chief Minister's remarks were in response to Sitharaman's recent statement in New Delhi, where she disclosed her decision to not contest elections due to financial constraints.

The Chief Minister was canvassing for DMK's Dharmapuri candidate A. Mani and Congress nominee for Krishnagiri, Gopinath. He emphasized that voting for the INDIA bloc was essential for ensuring that democracy and social justice thrive in India. "Will you do it? Are you ready to vote for INDIA bloc?" Stalin asked the crowd, receiving an affirmative response.

Stalin also accused the BJP of seeking to divide the nation along lines of caste, religion, and language. He questioned Pattali Makkal Katchi (PMK) leader S. Ramadoss's decision to ally with the BJP for the April 19 polls in Tamil Nadu, given the saffron party's stance against social justice and democracy.

Reiterating his party's demand for a nationwide caste-based census, Stalin pointed out that only the central government has the authority to conduct such a census across India. He criticized Prime Minister Narendra Modi for attempting to undermine state rights, despite having served as Gujarat's Chief Minister for 12 years. Furthermore, Stalin accused Modi of manipulating fuel and cooking gas prices ahead of elections.

In conclusion, Stalin listed several initiatives launched by his party-led government aimed at improving the welfare of people in the region. His speech underscored a call to action for voters in Tamil Nadu to support candidates from the INDIA bloc in the forthcoming elections as a means to safeguard democracy and promote social justice across India.
