RSS Chief Mohan Bhagwat Advocates for Embracing Sanatan Dharma Amid Changing Global Attitudes

RSS leader Mohan Bhagwat urged people to adopt a Vedic lifestyle, stating that the era of Sanatan Dharma's resurgence has arrived. He noted a global shift in perspective towards this ancient tradition. According to Bhagwat, the Vedas are a vast repository of wisdom, offering guidance for both material and spiritual aspects of life.

The Vedas were crafted by sages for the welfare of the world, Bhagwat explained. He emphasised that Bharat and the Vedas are intertwined, describing them as a treasure trove of knowledge. "We should read it, apply it in our life and pass it on to as many people as we can to enable them get the benefit of its knowledge," he added.

Sanatan Dharma's Resurgence

Bhagwat spoke at an event marking the release of the third edition of a Hindi commentary on the Vedas by Shripad Damodar Satvalekar. He remarked that the rise of Sanatan Dharma is evident now, echoing Yogi Arvind's earlier declaration. The changing global attitude towards this philosophy is also apparent, he noted.

The publication of Satvalekar's work signifies this shift, Bhagwat mentioned. He highlighted that religious knowledge stems from the Vedas, which are rooted in the truth that all divisions and conflicts are temporary. Dharma unites and uplifts everyone, making it essential for life.

Vedic Knowledge and Modern Science

Bhagwat elaborated on how life is fundamentally based on religion. Harmony among body, mind, intellect, and soul is crucial for sanity and survival. Disruption leads to chaos or even death. Dharma provides balance and liberation, he stated.

He asserted that the Vedas encompass all knowledge, though they might not explicitly mention modern inventions like CT scans. However, they understand the science behind such technologies. Thousands of years ago, the Vedas detailed astronomical facts like Earth's distance from the sun and sunlight's travel time to Earth.

Mathematical concepts are embedded within Vedic mantras, Bhagwat added. This ancient wisdom predates modern scientific discoveries by millennia, showcasing its enduring relevance and depth.
