'Tiger Abhi Zinda Hai': Posters Featuring Nitish Kumar Surface Ahead of Bihar Poll Results

Posters with the slogan "Tiger abhi zinda hai" featuring Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar have surfaced outside the JD(U) office. This comes just before the Bihar election results. Former Bihar minister and JD(U) leader Ranjit Sinha reportedly put up a poster declaring, "Protector of Dalits, Mahadalits, backward classes, upper castes, and minorities — Tiger abhi zinda hai (the tiger is still alive)."

The Mahagathbandhan, led by RJD's Tejashwi Yadav, has previously raised concerns about Nitish Kumar's health and its potential impact on governance. Yadav once shared a video on X highlighting what he termed as the CM's "bizarre antics." He questioned his followers, "How does it feel to see the Chief Minister of a state in such a pathetic condition? Does he appear mentally healthy to you?"

Nitish Kumar's Political Journey

Nitish Kumar holds the record as Bihar's longest-serving Chief Minister, having taken the oath of office nine times. His leadership is pivotal for the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) in Bihar. The NDA is expected to secure a significant victory in the upcoming elections according to most exit polls.

During campaigning, BJP's Bihar co-ordinator Dharmendra Pradhan dismissed opposition claims about issues within the NDA camp due to Nitish Kumar's absence from Prime Minister Narendra Modi's rallies. Pradhan stated that PM Modi attended several government programs at Nitish Kumar's invitation before the elections.

Election Predictions and Campaign Dynamics

The News18 Mega Exit Poll predicts that the BJP will win 55-65 seats across both phases of the Bihar election, while JD(U) is expected to secure 60-70 seats. In contrast, Mahagathbandhan parties like RJD might win 50-60 seats, with Congress trailing at 15-20 seats.

On October 24, the election campaign kicked off in Jannayak Karpoori Thakur's village in Samastipur. All NDA leaders were present at this event, including PM Modi, CM Nitish Kumar, Upendra Kushwaha, and Chirag Paswan.

The video shared by Yadav was recorded during Kaushal Deekshant Samaroh 2025. It showed Nitish Kumar virtually attending a skill convocation ceremony for ITI toppers nationwide.

As anticipation builds for Friday’s results, many await confirmation of whether Nitish Kumar will continue his tenure as Chief Minister amidst these political dynamics.
