Three killed in rain-related incidents in Thane, Palghar
Thane, Jul 22: Three persons have died in rain- related incidents in Thane and Palghar districts, lashed by heavy downpour in the last two days, police said on Thursday.
The deaths were reported since yesterday. In the first incident, a milk vendor, Suresh Mannaram Devsi (20), was electrocuted at Kopri in Thane East yesterday, a police release said here.

A 19-year-old boy, Puneet R Yadav, drowned in a lake filled with rainwaters in Shil Daighar area. His body was fished out this morning and sent for postmortem.
The teenager was part of a nine-member group which had gone for a swim in the lake. In the third incident which took place today, a tree fell on a youth riding a two-wheeler, crushing him to death.
The youth was identified as Prakash Mali (20) and the incident took place in Shirgaon area of Palghar. Police have registered cases of accidental deaths.
