This incident occurred at a government school located in Tippu Nagar in Shivamogga.

"This is not your country; this is a Hindu country. You should go to Pakistan. You will always be our slaves," the website quoted the teacher as telling the students for not paying attention during her class.

A Nazrullah, the president of the district unit of the Janata Dal Secular's minority wing, lodged a complaint with the education department over the incident, Hindustan Times reported.

"We were shocked after the children told us about the incident. We filed a complaint with Deputy Director of Public Instruction (DDPI), and the department took action against the teacher," the website quoted him as saying.

According to Block Education Officer B. Nagaraj, who led the investigation into the incident, the other students in the class provided supporting testimony for the complaint.

"The teacher reportedly said to the students: 'This is not your country; this is the country of Hindus. You should go to Pakistan. You are our slaves forever'," Nagraj stated.

A report has been submitted on the incident. The teacher has been identified as Manjula Devi, who has now been transferred and an enquiry has been ordered.

However, district education officer, Nagaraj has said that the said teacher has been working in the Tippu Nagar school for 7-8 years and had no complaints against her before.

A week ago, a teacher at a private school in Uttar Pradesh named Tripta Tyagi was in the centre of the controversy for making students slap their classmate. The incident reportedly occurred at Khubbapur village of Mansoorpur police station area, Muzaffarnagar, Uttar Pradesh, at Neha Public School. In the clip, the victim stands before the class, while the teacher remains seated and urges fellow students to step up and slap their classmate. In succession, the students approach and strike the victim while the teacher supervises the situation.
