“They Lied to Me”: Aishwarya Rai Slams Yadavs Over Tej Pratap’s Secret Relationship

Aishwarya Rai, Tej Pratap Yadav's separated wife, has launched a stinging attack on the Yadav family, questioning their role in the scandal around Tej Pratap's claimed 12-year romance with another lady. Rai, the granddaughter of former Bihar Chief Minister Daroga Rai, claimed that the family wrecked her life despite having previous knowledge of Tej Pratap's relationship.

The controversy comes after RJD supremo Lalu Prasad Yadav expelled his elder son Tej Pratap from both the party and the family for six years, citing irresponsible behavior. Aishwarya, who married Tej Pratap in 2018, dismissed the expulsion as political posturing ahead of the Bihar Assembly elections, branding it a "drama" to mislead the public.

"If they already knew everything, why did they get him married to me? Why was my life ruined? Why was I beaten? Where was their conscience then?" Aishwarya questioned, speaking to reporters and quoted by ANI. She also revealed that she learned about her own divorce through media reports and was not informed directly.

Accusing Rabri Devi of orchestrating the show of discipline for political optics, Aishwarya said, "Rabri Devi must have told them to stay silent for now due to the elections. That's why this entire drama has been created."

Rai asserted that she has borne the brunt of the situation for the past seven years and only now, with the matter exposed, has the truth come to light. She accused the Yadav family of blaming her while concealing Tej Pratap's longstanding affair. "Now that it's out that he had an affair for 12 years, suddenly the woman is being blamed. When will I get justice? I will continue my legal fight," she declared.

Tej Pratap's Troubled Marriage and Political Fallout

Aishwarya, a Delhi University graduate with an MBA, tied the knot with Tej Pratap in a lavish ceremony in Patna in 2018. The marriage quickly turned sour, and she filed for divorce within months, bringing forward allegations of abuse against her in-laws, including former CM Rabri Devi. The divorce case remains pending in court.

Tej Pratap has claimed the couple were incompatible, telling the media, "I'm North Pole and she's South Pole... I'm a simple man, and she is a modern, city-bred woman. There's no point in continuing an unhappy marriage."

On May 26, Lalu Yadav announced via X that Tej Pratap had been expelled from the Rashtriya Janata Dal and disowned due to his actions. The move came shortly after Tej Pratap posted a photo on Facebook with a young woman named Anushka Yadav, claiming they had been in a romantic relationship for 12 years. The post read, "This is Anushka Yadav. We've known each other for 12 years and are in love."

Tej Pratap later deleted the post and claimed his Facebook account had been hacked in an attempt to defame him and his family.

Lalu Yadav said in his statement that Tej Pratap's actions were against the party's values and weakened the collective struggle for social justice. "Neglecting moral values in personal life weakens our collective struggle... His conduct does not reflect our family values. He is being removed from the party and the family for six years," Lalu stated.

As the row continues to draw public attention, Aishwarya Rai remains resolute in her pursuit of justice, demanding answers from a political dynasty she says used her as a pawn in a farcical marriage.
