The three units of the PFI which carried out hit-jobs at the behest of an Islamic court
All the attacks by the violent PFI would be executed following an order by its parallel courts also known as the Dar-ul-Qaza or Islamic courts.
The National Investigation Agency (NIA) is keeping the heat on the Popular Front of India (PFI) on.
It has filed four chargesheets so far against the PFI, which was banned by the Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) in September 2022.

In its latest chargesheet, the NIA charged 68 cadres of the PFI from Kerala and Tamil Nadu. The NIA had previously filed chargesheets against the PFI in the Jaipur and Hyderabad cases.
The latest chargesheet relates to separate criminal conspiracies hatched by the PFI to drive a wedge between the people of different communities through radicalisation of Muslim youth. The PFI was training them in handling of weapons, raising funds to carry out acts of terror and violence.
The ultimate objective was to establish an Islamic rule in India by 2047.
In this chargesheet the NIA also speaks about the murder of Palakkad resident, Sreenivasan, who was hacked to death by the cadres of the PFI. The NIA found that some of the accused in the PFI conspiracy case were linked to the murder of Sreenivasan.
The chargesheet was filed after searches were conducted by the NIA at more than 100 locations in the state of Kerala. The NIA has also attached 17 properties as they were identified as proceeds of terrorism. Further the agency froze 18 bank accounts of the accused during the course of the investigation.
The accused had been conspiring drive a wedge between different communities in the country. It also sought to spread violent extremism and Jihad with the objective of dismembering the country and establish the rule of Islam by 2014 in India, the NIA noted.
In a bid to achieve these objectives, the PFI established various wings and units, such as the Reporters' Wing, Physical and Arms Training Wing and Service Teams, said the NIA in a statement.
Further the NIA learnt that the PFI was using various campuses, facilities and infrastructure to impart arms training to its select cadre under the guise of physical education, yoga training etc.
The PFI established these wings with an intention of eliminating their targets. The PFI pressed into service its loyal and highly trained cadre of the Service Teams as executioners. The orders to execute would come from their courts known as the Dar-ul-Qaza or the Islamic courts.
In the Tamil Nadu case, the NIA found that the PFI cadres had conducted radicalisation programmes to motivate, instigate and radicalise gullible Muslim youth. They were provided arms training at the various training camps. The PFI cadres used to carry out the instructions of the office bearers of the banned outfit and then carry out attacks, the NIA also said.
