Thane Tragedy: Child Loses Life After Resisting Assault; Two Arrested

In a distressing incident emerging from Thane, two brothers, both masons by profession, have been apprehended in connection with the murder of a 12-year-old boy. The grim discovery of the boy's body in a pond in Navi Mumbai has led to a police investigation, culminating in the arrest of the siblings on charges of murder. Child Murdered in Thane; Two Held

The investigation revealed a harrowing sequence of events leading to the young boy's death. According to police reports, one of the brothers allegedly attempted to sexually assault the boy after kidnapping him from the Thakurpada area. The situation escalated when the boy attempted to raise an alarm, prompting his assailant to commit the fatal act. The accused, identified as Ramzan Mohammad Kuddus Shaikh, 20, and his brother Azad Mohammad Kuddus Sheikh, 30, are said to have then disposed of the body in a nearby pond.

The victim, who had been missing since March 25 after leaving his home to play, was found with his hands tied and a head injury in a pond near Taloja in Navi Mumbai. A complaint regarding his disappearance was previously lodged at Shil-Daighar police station.

Police Investigation and Arrests
