Terrorist Hideout Busted In Jammu And Kashmir; Suspected IED Found In Akhnoor
In a significant security operation, a terrorist hideout was uncovered in the Poonch district of Jammu and Kashmir on Saturday evening.
A joint search party consisting of police and the Rashtriya Rifles conducted the operation at Jhullas Behra village, resulting in the recovery of two hand grenades and ammunition.

The grenades were subsequently destroyed by experts in a controlled explosion, ensuring no damage to the surrounding area.
In a separate incident, authorities discovered a suspected Improvised Explosive Device (IED) with a timer near Gharota, located in the Akhnoor area on the outskirts of Jammu.

A bomb disposal squad was promptly dispatched to the site, and further details are pending as investigations continue.

These incidents highlight ongoing security challenges in the region, as authorities remain vigilant in their efforts to combat terrorism and ensure public safety. SP Rural Jammu, Brijesh Sharma, announced, "During our joint patrol with the Army in the Ghrota area of Jammu, we came across a suspicious object. We coordinated with the Bomb Disposal Squad (BDS) team, and the object has since been safely disposed of."
