Telangana Police Arrest Six Individuals for Kidnapping and Sexual Assault of Minor Girl

Authorities in Telangana have detained five gang members, including a woman, for allegedly abducting a minor girl in Warangal district. The group is accused of sexually assaulting her and attempting to coerce her into prostitution. A juvenile linked to the incident has also been taken into custody, according to police reports.

The minor was reported missing on March 11 within the jurisdiction of Mills Colony police station. Following this, a case was initiated. During the investigation, she was located near Mulugu and subsequently rescued, as per an official police statement. The victim recounted that she was kidnapped by several individuals who forced her to consume marijuana before sexually assaulting her.

Prostitution Racket Uncovered

Further investigations revealed that the woman, identified as the main suspect, was running a prostitution operation. She and the juvenile conspired to recruit women or girls into prostitution to increase their earnings from clients. Police stated that they targeted the victim through a social media platform.

After gaining her trust online, the suspects lured her out of her home on March 11. They then abducted her in a car and transported her to an abandoned house near Narsampet. There, they forced her to consume marijuana, and one of the suspects sexually assaulted her.

Police Action and Rescue

Warangal Commissioner of Police, Sunpreet Singh, established three special investigation teams to capture those involved. The accused later threatened the victim before abandoning her near Mulugu and fleeing the scene. The police's swift action led to the rescue of the girl and the arrest of the suspects.

The case highlights serious concerns about safety and exploitation through social media platforms. Authorities are urging parents and guardians to monitor online interactions closely to prevent such incidents.
