Empowering Women Through Business
The government is also allocating solar power plants to SHGs as part of its empowerment strategy. Currently, there are 65 lakh members in these groups, with a target to increase this number to one crore. Reddy emphasised that it is the responsibility of the members to reach this target.
Reddy stated, "It is your responsibility to make it one crore. It is my responsibility to make one crore women crorepatis." He plans to visit all 33 districts in Telangana next year, holding meetings with one lakh women in each district.
