Telangana CM Prioritizes Transparent Police Recruitment and Home Guard Services
Telangana Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy stresses the importance of a transparent police recruitment process and effective utilization of Home Guards, aiming to enhance public safety and traffic management.
Hyderabad, December 15: Telangana Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy has issued directives to officials to initiate the police recruitment process promptly and transparently, ensuring the absence of irregularities. During a meeting with senior officials, Reddy emphasized the need for a comprehensive report detailing the total recruitment conducted since the formation of Telangana in 2014.

Expediting Police Recruitment and Home Guard Appointments
The chief minister stressed the importance of completing the police recruitment process at the earliest. Additionally, he instructed the director general of police to expedite the appointment of Home Guards, aiming to leverage their services effectively within the police department. Notably, Home Guard recruitment has been on hold for the past seven to eight years.
Reddy emphasized the significance of addressing the health, financial, and medical requirements of Home Guards. He also proposed the extensive deployment of Home Guards in traffic regulation within Hyderabad.
Minimizing Traffic Disruptions During CM's Convoy Movement
In a separate directive, the chief minister highlighted the need to minimize inconvenience to the public during the movement of his convoy on busy roads. Acknowledging the reduction in the number of vehicles in the convoy from 15 to nine, Reddy advised police officials to implement measures to prevent traffic congestion without halting vehicular traffic during his road travel.
In this regard, the chief minister sought suggestions from police officers to ensure smooth travel without causing disruptions to the public.
Addressing Public Grievances through Regular Meetings
Furthermore, Reddy instructed officials to organize meetings in towns and villages for two days every month, aiming to promptly address public concerns. He emphasized the importance of diligently resolving people's grievances and establishing timelines for their resolution.
Given the overwhelming response to the Praja Vani program, which involves accepting public representations at the CM's camp office, Reddy directed an increase in the number of tables designated for receiving complaints.
Telangana Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy's directives focus on enhancing transparency and efficiency in police recruitment, ensuring the well-being of Home Guards, minimizing public inconvenience during official travel, and facilitating effective grievance redressal mechanisms for the citizens of Telangana.
