Telangana BJP: Nitin Nabin criticises Congress and BRS, alleges AIMIM links

BJP President Nitin Nabin, on a three-day visit to Telangana, criticised the ruling Congress and BRS, alleging corruption and family-based politics and claiming they are compromised with AIMIM. He virtually inaugurated nine district unit offices and urged booth-level workers to work for a BJP “double engine” government ahead of municipal polls, including Hyderabad.

BJP President Nitin Nabin on Sunday targeted the ruling Congress and the BRS in Telangana. Nabin asked party workers to work for a BJP "double engine government\" in the state. Nabin said Telangana needed freedom from corrupt and family-led parties. Nabin linked this goal to upcoming municipal elections in Hyderabad and other areas.

Nabin began a three-day visit to Telangana and opened nine district offices online. Nabin later met booth-level leaders and spoke about the Telangana movement’s aims. Nabin said those aims remained unmet, even 12 years after statehood. Nabin said the state’s progress stalled because of corrupt and family parties.

Telangana municipal elections and BJP double engine government

Nabin said Congress and BRS were compromised with AIMIM, but BJP would not compromise. Nabin said BJP stood with the people and could meet public aspirations. Nabin linked that claim to the upcoming municipal elections in Hyderabad and other places. Nabin told BJP cadres to treat the polls as a struggle.

In a veiled attack on AIMIM, Nabin referred to parties that speak for one faith. Nabin said such politics harmed the country’s atmosphere and ignored development. \"Whether those leaders ever talked about development? I ask the people who supported them.\" Nabin said those leaders did not speak seriously on development in Parliament.

Telangana development track and Central government schemes

Nabin said the Narendra Modi government served Telangana through Central government schemes. Nabin said statehood aimed to put Telangana on a development path. \"But, I know that Telangana cannot be put on the development track, for which statehood was dreamed of, until a double engine government was formed,\" Nabin said.

Nabin said people voted out the BRS and elected Congress in Telangana. Nabin alleged Congress did not meet even one major promise after that. Nabin cited the job calendar as an example and said it was not released. Nabin claimed Congress took advantage, though BJP fought the earlier BRS rule.

Telangana BJP and outsider charge

Nabin recalled the BJP had only two Lok Sabha seats in 1984. Nabin said one of those seats came from Telangana. Nabin used this to reject claims that BJP was an outsider in the state. Nabin added BJP was winning states steadily and expected success in Telangana.

Nabin said BJP cadres alone could defeat Congress in Telangana. Nabin also alleged Congress often compromised on people’s interests. Nabin referred to BJP’s gains in West Bengal as an example. Nabin urged party General Secretary Sunil Bansal to make double efforts in Telangana.

Telangana politics, Congress record and NDA leadership

Nabin contrasted earlier national debates with current ones under PM Narendra Modi. Nabin said India moved from depression to hope, and topics changed. Nabin said scams were discussed earlier, but semiconductors and AI were discussed now. Nabin also alleged the UPA was known for scams and attacked Congress’s mindset.

Nabin paid tributes to former Prime Minister P V Narasimha Rao on Sunday, marking his birth anniversary. Nabin called Narasimha Rao a proud son of Telangana. Nabin alleged Congress insulted Narasimha Rao even after death. Nabin claimed Narasimha Rao’s mortal remains were not treated with proper dignity.

Nabin praised the NDA for decisive leadership and referred to past Kashmir scenes. Nabin alleged Pakistani flags were seen in Srinagar earlier. Nabin said when soldiers were beheaded, the Congress-led government stayed silent. Nabin claimed the present NDA would act firmly against threats to India’s soil.

Nabin said BJP workers should aim to help the lotus \"bloom\" in Telangana. Nabin linked this to the goal of Viksit Bharat and local election work. Union Ministers G Kishan Reddy and Bandi Sanjay Kumar attended the events. Telangana BJP president N Ramchander Rao and other leaders were also present.
