Telangana: Amit Shah Ensures SC, ST, OBC Reservation; Accuses Congress For Spreading Lies

Union Home Minister Amit Shah on Sunday addressed a sea of supporters in Telangana and assured that reservations for SC, ST, and OBCs would remain as long as there is even one BJP MP in Parliament.

Hitting out at the state government, Amit Shah criticised the Congress for spreading lies, such as claiming that Prime Minister Narendra Modi would end quotas if BJP got 400 seats in the ongoing Lok Sabha polls.

Shah emphasised that despite having a majority for the last 10 years, Modi did not use it to end reservations but focused on other reforms like removing Article 370, banning triple talaq, and constructing a Ram temple in Ayodhya.

He pledged to safeguard reservations for Dalits, Adivasis, and OBCs, promising that BJP would not allow them to end. Referring to a fake video circulating on social media, Shah accused Telangana Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy of forwarding it.

Shah mentioned that Muslim reservation is not constitutional, and BJP would scrap it in Telangana while increasing quotas for Adivasis and Dalits. He criticized Congress for favoring Muslims over other communities.

Accusing Congress leaders Mallikarjun Kharge and Rahul Gandhi of not attending the Ram Temple consecration for fear of losing their vote bank, Shah stated that Congress and AIMIM chief Asaduddin Owaisi share the same vote bank.

He categorized the present elections as NDA led by PM Modi versus the 'Indi alliance' led by Rahul Gandhi, highlighting Modi's dedication compared to Rahul Gandhi's holiday in Bangkok. Shah alleged that Congress and BRS are scared of Owaisi and questioned their ability to save Telangana from him.

He accused Congress of treating Telangana as an ATM and alleged the imposition of 'RR tax' (Rahul-Revanth tax) in the state. Shah expressed confidence that BJP would win more than 10 Lok Sabha seats in Telangana out of the total 17.
