Telangana: 2 Air Force Pilots Dead In Aircraft Crash In Dundigal
According to the reports, Two Indian Air Force (IAF) pilots died in plane crash on Monday in Dundigal in Telangana. The incident happened when Indian Air Force's Pilatus trainer aircraft crashed during a training session at Dundigal Air Force Academy. The pilots include an instructor and one cadet, said Indian Air Force officials.
The incident took place at 8.34 am at an open construction site under the Toopran police station limits.
"One Pilatus PC 7 MK Il trainer aircraft met with an accident today morning during a routine training sortie from AFA, Hyderabad. It is with deep regret that (the) IAF confirms that both the pilots on board have sustained fatal injuries," the IAF said in a statement.

Soon after the incident, the Indian Air Force ordered a court of Inquiry to ascertain the cause of the accident.

The reports added that there has been no civilian casualty or damage to property.
Sharing details about the saddening incident, Superintendent of Police for Medak, Rohini Priyadarshini, said that the aircraft crashed near Toopran. "It's a Training Aircraft from Dundigul airport. There were two people inside the aircraft, one trainer and a trainee. The airport staff and clue team are on the spot. The firefighters doused the fire," SP Rohini said.
"There are no civilian casualties, but we fear the trainer and a trainee, both males, who were aboard are no more. The IAF team from Dundigal is conducting an inquiry," Priyadarshini said.
