Bengaluru, March 13: Following the Bharatiya Janata Party's (BJP) announcement of his candidature for the Bengaluru South Lok Sabha constituency, Tejasvi Surya, the party's youth wing president, expressed his heartfelt gratitude to Prime Minister Narendra Modi, senior party leaders, and the people of his constituency for their unwavering faith in him. This marks Surya's second time contesting for the prestigious seat, having previously emerged victorious in the 2019 polls against B K Hariprasad of the Congress party.

BJP Unveils Candidates for Karnataka's Lok Sabha Seats
In a significant development, the BJP unveiled its list of candidates for 20 out of the 28 Lok Sabha seats in Karnataka, setting the stage for intense electoral competition in the state. Surya, addressing the media through a video message, conveyed his profound gratitude to Prime Minister Modi, Home Minister Amit Shah, party president JP Nadda, the state leadership including B S Yediyurappa, countless party workers, and the people of Bengaluru South for their unwavering trust in his abilities.
Surya Reflects on Five Years of Public Service
Reflecting on his tenure as a public representative, Surya acknowledged the immense learning experience he has gained over the past five years. He emphasized that the responsibilities entrusted to public representatives extend far beyond the confines of a nine-to-five job, demanding unwavering dedication and commitment 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Surya drew inspiration from Prime Minister Modi's exemplary leadership, which has instilled a sense of purpose and driven all of us to work tirelessly for the welfare of the people, particularly the most vulnerable and marginalized sections of society.
BJP's Dominance in Karnataka's 2019 General Elections
In the 2019 general elections, the BJP achieved a resounding victory in Karnataka, securing an impressive 25 out of the total 28 Lok Sabha seats in the state. Additionally, an independent candidate backed by the party also emerged victorious, further consolidating the BJP's dominance in the region.
