Tejashwi Yadav Says Nitish Kumar Is Not In His Senses...

Tejashwi Yadav, a leader from the Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD), criticised Bihar's Chief Minister Nitish Kumar, describing him as a leader who is exhausted and not in his right mind. During a press conference in Motihari, Yadav accused Kumar of being manipulated by others for their personal gains.

Yadav alleged that a few individuals in Delhi and Patna are controlling the government for their own benefit. He claimed that Kumar has been sidelined and is no longer making decisions independently. "Kumar has retired, and he is not taking any decision. He is not speaking anything about the government's function. Work is being done by issuing press releases. The government is being run by retired officials," he stated.

Allegations of Mismanagement

According to Yadav, the ongoing Pragati Yatra led by Kumar is more of a financial burden than a developmental initiative. He asserted that the journey, costing 272 crores, is essentially draining the state's resources. "This is not Kumar's Pragati Yatra but a looting journey of the officers," he remarked.

Yadav reached Motihari on Saturday night and addressed the media after resting at the Circuit House. Following this, party members participated in a Darshan cum Samvad Yatra at Bapu Auditorium, where around 5,000 people gathered.

Claims of Captivity

Earlier in the week, Yadav reiterated his stance that Kumar has become "captive" under the influence of close associates. Responding to journalists' questions about potential political shifts by Kumar, Yadav dismissed such rumours as baseless.

"All these rumours have no substance. Nitish Kumar is no longer in his senses. He is unable to run Bihar," he commented. He further alleged that four leaders from Kumar's party are dictating terms to him—two based in Delhi and two in Patna.

Yadav previously served as Deputy Chief Minister under Kumar before the latter rejoined the BJP-led NDA unexpectedly. Now serving as Leader of Opposition in Bihar's assembly, Yadav continues to challenge Kumar's leadership capabilities.

The ongoing political tension highlights significant challenges within Bihar's governance structure.
