‘Teary eyed' Kamal Haasan pays tribute to Sridevi in a video message

Kamal also said how Sridevi was a wonderful person and lead a happy life surrounded by people who she loved and who loved her back.

In a video message expressing grief over the demise of actress Sridevi, actor turned politician Kamal Haasan on Sunday got emotional and said her stardom was well deserved. Haasan, who worked with Sridevi in over 25 films, said her stardom was "no accident". Earlier today, in a heartfelt tweet, Haasan talked about the happy times he had spent with Sridevi, seeing her transform into a great actress and how the lullaby in 'Sadma', a film he starred in with her, haunts him now that Sridevi is no more.

The two have acted together in various hit films, of which 'Sadma' brought both of them countrywide fame and success. Even today, this film is considered one of her best films in a career spanning almost half a century. The two also began their career at a very young age and she debuted as an adult in 'Moondru Mudichu' with Kamal and Rajinikanth.

One of Bollywood's most loved actor passed at an age of 54, due to cardiac arrest in Dubai on Saturday. Apart from Kamal Haasan, Amitabh Bachchan, Rajinikanth, Akshay Kumar, Priyanka Chopra and many others have expressed their shock over Sri's death and extended condolences to the family during this testing time. The actress' body is being brought to Mumbai from Dubai.
