Teacher beaten up following argument in Punjab

Gurdaspur (Pb), May 23: A physical education teacher of a government high school was on Monday, May 23 allegedly attacked by unidentified miscreants following an argument in Hardocchani near here, police said.

Mukesh Kumar sustained injuries on his head and other body parts, police said. The incident took place when he was asking the students to go inside the school premises after recess.

Certain outsiders had heated argument with the teacher on some issue and they later attacked him with baseball bats, police said.

The injured teacher has been hospitalised, police said, adding a case had been registered in this connection.
