Tamil Nadu BJP Leader Slams AAP-Congress Alliance as Power Play in Delhi
In a recent political gathering in R K Puram, Tamil Nadu BJP president K. Annamalai launched a critique against the INDIA bloc, specifically targeting the alliance between the AAP and the Congress in Delhi. Annamalai accused this partnership of being a quest for power rather than a genuine effort towards the nation's development and security.

Annamalai pointed out the contradiction in AAP's stance, recalling Arvind Kejriwal's initial promise to combat corruption and avoid aligning with the Congress. Despite these claims, AAP is now collaborating with Congress for the Lok Sabha polls in Delhi, a move that Annamalai criticizes as politically motivated.
The BJP leader also brought up the alleged assault on Swati Maliwal, suggesting a failure of justice under the current administration. He further criticized Rahul Gandhi for varying his speeches across different states, attributing this inconsistency to vote politics.
Highlighting New Delhi's significance as both a global city and the national capital, Annamalai emphasized that its development is crucial for the country's progress. He contrasted this with the achievements of the Modi government over the past decade, claiming substantial national advancement and an enhanced global standing for India.
Moreover, Annamalai condemned the Congress for its historical actions, particularly referencing the Emergency period of 1975 as an attack on democracy. He concluded with a call to action for the BJP to secure all seven seats in Delhi in the upcoming elections and to displace the Kejriwal government in the following year.
This discourse reflects the intense political rivalry in Delhi, underscoring the strategic alliances and electoral promises that shape India's political landscape. As parties gear up for forthcoming elections, such statements highlight the ongoing battle for influence and control within the capital.
