Surveillance cameras installed at at Govt Headquarters Hospital

Dindigul, Oct 3: Surveillance cameras have been installed at 16 vantage points at the Government Headquarters Hospital here to improve security, officials said.

Besides, revolving cameras had been put up in the maternity and emergency wards and was inaugurated by District Collector Venkatachalam, a release said.

A public address system also had been installed to make important announcements and would also play soft music to help patients relax, they said.

The facilities had been provided from funds made available under the Chief Minister's Medical Insurance Scheme. Hospitals in Palani, Vedasandur and Nilakottai are among which already have surveillance cameras.
