Supreme Court Order Reveals BJP's Alleged Nefarious Design to Disenfranchise Voters in Bihar

The Supreme Court has ordered the Election Commission of India (ECI) to disclose details of 65 lakh names removed from Bihar's voter list. This decision aims to improve transparency in the state's special intensive revision (SIR) of electoral rolls. The directive came from a bench comprising Justices Surya Kant and Joymalya Bagchi, who were addressing challenges to the ECI's June 24 decision.

RJD leader Tejashwi Yadav expressed that this Supreme Court order reveals the BJP and its allies' alleged attempts to disenfranchise voters. Yadav emphasised that their struggle will persist, and they will monitor officials involved in the SIR process closely. He shared these views with reporters, highlighting the significance of the court's interim order.

Yadav extended gratitude to leaders from the INDIA bloc, including Rahul Gandhi, Mallikarjun Kharge, Mamata Banerjee, Hemant Soren, and Sharad Pawar. He appreciated their collective stance against the special intensive revision of electoral rolls in Bihar.
