New Delhi, March 18: Home Minister Rajnath Singh on Friday called upon the corporate world to join hands with the government in extending assistance to families of martyred police, paramilitary and defence personnel.
Speaking after handing over about 300 scholarship cheques to schoolchildren of Central Armed Police Forces (CAPFs) personnel who sacrificed their lives, Singh said that no help could be better than that of education.

The home ministry had identified 295 children of martyred personnel and decided on the annual scholarships in consultation with the Sarojini Damodaran Foundation.
Singh distributed cheques of Rs.6,000 each to students of classes I to IV, Rs.9,000 for Classes V to VII and Rs.12,000 for Classes VIII to XII.
