Watch: When Sundar Pichai, new google CEO, offered Shah Rukh Khan to swap careers

New Delhi, Aug 12: If Bollywood actor Shah Rukh Khan would not have been an actor, he would have been a software engineer. Don't be surprised to hear this as Shah Rukh Khan himself told this to Sundar Pichai, the new Google CEO in October 2014.

SRK was participating in a 30-minute chat with Sundar Pichai at Googleplex, while promoting his film Happy New Year in October 2014.

He said that he wanted to be a software engineer, not an actor. "No, really. I look stupid but I'm not, I'm really intelligent. I did electronics and got 98," SRK told the disbelieving Google crowd.

He also told the crowd that he even took the IIT entrance exam.

"Those were the days of diodes and triodes, not chips and things."

After knowing this, Sundar Pichai, the new Google CEO, told the actor to let him know if he wanted to switch careers.

SRK was promoting his film Happy New Year alongwith Deepika Padukone, Abhishek Bachchan, Boman Irani, and Farah Khan (Director of the film Happy New Year).
