Sonia Gandhi reveals Congress's strategy to corner Narendra Modi govt in India

revealed her party's latest strategy to push

government to corner. This time Mrs Gandhi along with her brigade is all set to counter the government at the centre with women reservation bill and many other bills which are yet to receive green signals in Parliament.

Addressing a conference of Mahila Congress in New Delhi on Wednesday, Aug 20, Mrs Gandhi lashed out at Modi government accusing them of copying schemes and plans made by UPA II.

Mrs Gandhi also asserted that people in the country were misguided by Modi and his party and brought them to power. While Congress was left to taste the dust despite all hard work during its tenure of ten years at the centre.

'We had done so much but still people got misled as some persons laid a trap'

Speaking at the function on the 70th birth anniversary of her husband Rajiv Gandhi, Mrs Gandhi was quoted as saying, "We had done so much but still people got misled as some persons laid a trap. Our work, our achievement got aside and those showing false dreams marched ahead."

"Today, we are in opposition but Congress will not withdraw from its commitment to women's reservation and we will build full pressure on the NDA government to pass the bill as soon as possible," she added.
