This little Sonia Gandhi is seen asking for alms in J&K

Rajouri, Jan 13: When someone mentions Sonia Gandhi we immediately picture the Congress President with folded hands. But picture this, a ten-year-old girl named Sonia Gandhi is seen begging of the streets in Rajouri to support her ailing parents.

Call it a cruel joke or a twist of fate, this girl originally hails from Jodhpur but is seen in Rajouri supporting her parents. On one hand you have Congress President Sonia Gandhi in Delhi and on the other hand you have this ten-year-old girl on the streets.

Though she shares the same name as that of the Congress President, her life is full of hurdles and roadblocks.She had just started going to school, when her father was bed ridden. She had to pull out of the school and then support her parents and younger sister.

The government has always promised to educate children and to uplift those belonging to the marginal strata but this girl had no option left but to beg.

Fate has brought her from Jodhpur to Himachal to Jammu and Kashmir, where she continues to ask for alms.
