Soldier Injured in Brief Exchange of Fire with Suspected Terrorist Outside Jammu Army Camp
A soldier was injured during a brief gunfire exchange with a suspected militant near a camp on Saturday, according to an official. A large-scale search is ongoing to secure the area. The incident occurred in the high-security Nagrota area late Saturday evening, as reported by the official.

"On noticing suspicious movement near the perimeter, alert sentry at Nagrota Military Station issued a challenge, leading to a brief exchange of fire with the suspect. Sentry sustained a minor injury," the army’s Jammu-based White Knight Corps said.
Security Measures and Public Advisory
The White Knight Corps confirmed that search operations are in progress to locate the "intruders." Meanwhile, a police spokesperson dismissed claims of terrorist presence in the R S Pura sector on Jammu's outskirts as unfounded.
"People are advised to report any suspicious movement to the police for proper verification. Uploading and forwarding unverified messages about presence of terrorists on social media creates panic among the general public," he said.
The spokesperson warned that spreading unverified information could lead to legal consequences. "Cooperate with police for maintaining peace and normalcy in the region," he added.
Authorities urge residents to remain vigilant and report any unusual activities. This cooperation is crucial for ensuring safety and maintaining order in the region.
