Pune, Dec 12: In yet another goof up, a man who ordered iPhones from the e-commerce website Snapdeal, got the shock of his life when he was delivered pieces of wood!

According to TOI report, the shocking yet funny incident took place in Pune, when Darshan Kabra, a resident of Aundh, Pune, had ordered two iPhone 4S units from the online shopping portal on December 7.

Thankfully, the man had opted for 'Cash on Delivery' option, the amount of which was Rs 40,508.

Disappointed by the goof up, Kabra refused to hand over money to the delivery boy.

He instead, made the delivery boy to sign on an undertaking that said, "Dear Snapdeal, This is to confirm you that you delivered stones instead of Apple Iphone 4S to me against my order number-3862653450."

"Your delivery boy was present at the time of opening the box. We have taken back our cash payment from him. This is a clear case of fraud from your end."

The undertaking was signed by the delivery boy, Amit Shelar along with his phone numebr.

Snapdeal, is however, yet to respond to Kabra's notice.

This is not the first time that Snapdeal's name has cropped up into such faux pas acts.

In October this year, a man, Laxminarayan Krishnamurthy had received a Vim bar soap when he had ordered a Samsung Galaxy Core Duos smart phone.

But the lucky man later got a surprise from the Hindustan Unilever Limited (HUL), Vim soap manufacturer, as a gift, along with two ‎vim‬ liquid soap bottles.

He even shared his experience on the Facebook.

Another e commerce site Flipkart, too has committed such blunders in the past.
