Smriti Irani to visit farmers in Rahul Gandhi's bastion Amethi

Amethi, May 12: Union Minister Smriti Irani will be visiting Amethi on Tuesday to meet the farmers who were affected by the unseasonal rains this year.

Irani is likely to address 'Kisan panchayats' in the region. BJP said that 'she will listen to the woes of the farmers who have suffered massive losses due to the untimely rains and hailstorm.'

Meanwhile, Congress has said that they will oppose Irani's visit to Amethi after the cancellation of the mega food park project in Amethi.

The food park issue was raised in the Lok Sabha by Congress vice president Rahul Gandhi who targeted Narendra Modi of practising politics of revenge.

Rahul Gandhi too has been visiting farmers across the country and has been listening to their grievances. He visited farmers in Maharashtra and Punjab.
