Shivraj Chouhan Slams JMM, Congress; Says ‘Grave threat’ To Jharkhand If Hemant Soren Wins

Union minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan has raised concerns about the potential rise of foreign infiltrators in Jharkhand. He claims that if the Jharkhand Mukti Morcha (JMM)-led coalition gains power, the state could see a significant increase in such infiltrators over the next five to ten years. Chouhan made these remarks during a BJP rally in Bokaro.

Concerns Over Infiltration

Chouhan warned that if Hemant Soren's party wins the upcoming assembly elections, infiltrators might become the majority in Jharkhand. He alleged that these individuals are acquiring land by marrying local women. According to him, the JMM-led coalition is supporting these infiltrators for vote bank politics by providing them with Aadhaar cards.

The union minister criticised the current state government for its handling of job promises and recruitment processes. He pointed out that 16-17 aspirants died during a physical test for constable recruitment, which he claimed is unprecedented elsewhere. Chouhan accused the Hemant Soren government of failing to deliver on its promise of providing jobs to 5 lakh youth.

BJP's Promises

Chouhan assured voters that if BJP comes to power, they will double the assistance under the 'Mainya Samman Yojna'. Additionally, he promised to fill 2.87 lakh vacant government positions. The BJP leader emphasised that only his party can safeguard Jharkhand's "beti, mati and roti" (daughter, land and bread) from threats posed by infiltrators.

The assembly elections in Jharkhand are anticipated to occur in November-December, although official dates have not been released by the Election Commission of India. As political tensions rise, parties are making various promises and accusations to sway voters ahead of the polls.

Chouhan's comments have sparked discussions about infiltration and governance in Jharkhand. His statements reflect ongoing political strategies as parties prepare for upcoming elections amidst complex socio-political dynamics in the region.
