Sheena Bora Murder: When police fooled Indrani Mukerjea in jail

Mumbai, Sept 2: The day when Indrani Mukerjea was brought face to face with her husband Peter Mukerjea inside Khar Police station in Mumbai, it has been reported that she was being trapped by the investigating police officers.

Indrani Mukerjea, the main accused in the sensational Sheena Bora murder case, has been changing her statements, said police.

The investigating cops-led by Mumbai Police Commissioner Rakesh Maria and Joint CP (law and order) Deven Bharti made a plan to force Indrani to tell the truth.

The cops put Indrani Mukerjea and other two accused Sanjeev Khanna and Shyam Rai in a room. Kolkata-based Sanjeev is Indrani's former husband and Shyam is her driver.

The trio were unaware of the fact that cops were watching them. After maintaining silence initially, Indrani suddenly broke her silence and chided Sanjeev and Shyam.

Deccan Chronicle quoted police officials who revealed the conversation among Indrani, Sanjeev and Shyam Rai.

Indrani: "How many more things have you been hiding from me? More than half of the things you told the police were completely shocking. And I even didn't know them. How could you hide all this from me?"

As Indrani raised her voice, Khanna extended his hand up to her and asked her to stay calm.

Khanna: "I am sorry but I could not do anything about it. Please listen to me."

Indrani then pushed his hand away and turned to driver Rai.

Indrani: "Ye sab tumhari galati hai (this is all your fault). Who told you to open your mouth before the police? Why didn't you shut up? You wanted money? I would have given you more money. If you were in trouble, I could have given you all the legal aid.If only you kept your mouth shut this wouldn't have happened. On whose side are you? It's because of you that I have to see this day."

Indrani: "And why didn't you tell me about this person (a fourth person who is now in the police radar) who showed you the spot.I never knew anything about him. Why did you take his help? You have got us into this problem."

She then addresses Khanna.

Indrani: "You both are together in this. I know it very well. But I am never going to accept any of this. You both have fixed me.How could you tell the police that it was my plan? Right from calling Sheena to killing her and purchasing the suitcase and petrol and then burning her and disposing her body. How dare you put all the blame on me? You both are responsible for all this and you too shall face the consequences. I am not taking this alone."
