Sheena Bora Murder: Another Twist! Peter Mukerjea's life insurance money comes under scanner

Mumbai, Nov 23: After Peter Mukerjea's arrest in connection with sensational Sheena Bora murder case, another twist shocked investigating officers.

It seems that Peter Mukerjea, who has been charged with murder and criminal conspiracies, tried to dissociate himself from his wife Indrani Mukerjea who is the prime suspect in the case.

After Indrani's arrest in Aug 2015, Peter reportedly had called a private company in Kolkata and asked to change the names of nominees for one high-value life insurance policy.

Peter reportedly asked the company to change the nominees from Vidhie and Indrani to Rahul and Rabin, Peter's sons from previous marriage.

The money trail and life insurance policies now have come under the scanner of investigating agency Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI). The CBI has already submitted its 1000-page charge-sheet.

23-year-old Sheena Bora was Indrani's daughter from her previous marriage with Siddharth Das. Later she got married to Sanjeev Khanna and the couple have a girl Vidhie.

Indrani and Sanjeev Khanna parted their ways later and Indrani tied knots with former media baron Peter Mukerjea. However, she did not disclose any information regarding her first marriage and introduced Sheena to Peter as her sister.

Indrani allegedly killed Sheena in 2012 fearing that Peter's property may go to Sheena who was in love with Peter's son Rahul. Both Sheena and Rahul had plans to get married by the end of 2012.
