The replacement comes a day after Bihar Chief Minister and JD(U) chief Nitish Kumar virtually shut the door on any reconciliation with rebel leader Sharad Yadav, saying he is free to take any decision as the alliance with the BJP had the entire partys nod.
The rift in the JD(U) has been widening since Nitish Kumar joined hands with the BJP. Shard Yadav called Nitish's political move as "betrayal of the people's mandate". He had claimed that that the original party is with him.
