Shame! New Delhi 4th most dangerous city in the world for women travellers

Delhi metro
New Delhi, Nov 4: In a big shocking news, a survey has revealed that the New Delhi is the fourth most dangerous city in the world for women, who travel by public transport.

A survey was done on sexual harassment on public transportation systems in world's largest cities by Thomson Reuters Foundation.According to ANI report, the survey asked six questions related with women safety issues like how safe they felt while travelling alone at night, then the risk of being verbally harassed by men during their journey.

Thomson Reuters survey also asked women whether they felt the risk of being groped by fellow passengers or any such sort of physical harassment in public transport. The report says that survey also enquired about whether fellow passengers or concerned authorities helped them in times of crisis.
The report says that Colombia's capital Bogota, that has no city train system but a network of red buses is the worst on the front followed by Mexico, Lima (Peru) and then the New Delhi.

The report could make jittery to Modi led BJP Government who is planning to start bullet train soon. Personally i believe that rather than making big announcements and spending huge exchequer money over them, the new Government should concentrate putting existing system in place first.
