Sexual harassment: Pachauri to face trial? Victim's complaint confirmed.
New Delhi, May 24: RK Pachauri, the ex-chairperson of the UN Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) faces ire from TERI as a sexual assault victim's claims have been confirmed. According to a TERI internal report, Pachauri is said to have violated the policy.
Following this, TERI has recommended a compensation for the victim. In a 33-pager report to the Delhi police, the woman research analyst claimed that she felt most unsafe at Pachauri's office and that she had received smses, mails and messages that were highly sexual in content.

She also said that Pachauri was trying to influence the witnesses. She claimed that many women like her were also facing the same issues. Raising concern over his influence over the TERI, the woman said that she was afraid that he would be back and wanted an order prohibiting him from the premises.
Now that the complainant's claims are alleged to have been confirmed, Pachauri runs the risk of facing criminal trial.
