The boy was playing near Lakdi Market Puliya when the accident occurred, though his identity remains undisclosed.

Upon receiving a call about the incident, police quickly arrived at the scene. A senior officer stated, "We received a call in the evening regarding a child falling into a drain. A team immediately reached the spot and found that the boy had slipped into the water while chasing a kite." The Delhi Disaster Management Authority (DDMA) was notified, and local divers along with Fire Department personnel initiated a search operation.

Search Efforts and Challenges

The search operation faced challenges due to poor visibility as night fell, leading to its suspension. The officer mentioned that efforts would resume early Saturday morning with increased manpower and equipment. To aid the search, attempts are being made to block water flow in certain sections of the drain.
