Senior journalist Dileep Padgaonkar passed away in a hospital here on Friday morning.
Pune, Nov 25: Senior journalist Dileep Padgaonkar passed away in a hospital here on Friday morning.
Padgaonkar began his career in journalism at the age of 24.
The senior journalist, who had a doctrate from the Sorbonne University, France, joined the Times of India as its Paris correspondent in 1968.

He was appointed ad TOI's editor in 1988 after having served in various capacities over two decades. He held that post for six years.
He also worked with UNESCO in Bangkok and Paris from 1978 to 1986.
Padgaonkar also headed a three-member Kashmir interlocutor group which was sent by the UPA government to provide a roadmap following the uprising in 2010.
Several noted scribes and politicians took to Twitter to express their grief on Padgaonkar's demise
