Senior journalist Ashok Malik appointed press secretary to President of India
Malik a frequent columnist, writes for a number of national and international publications.
The government has appointed senior journalist Ashok Malik as the Press Secretary to the President of India. A notification by the government said that Malik, Distinguished Fellow at the Observer Research Foundation of India has been appointed for a period of two years.

The government has also appointed Sanjay Kothari as the secretary to the President of India. Bharat Lal has been appointed as the joint secretary to the President.
Malik a frequent columnist, writes for a number of national and international publications.
His areas of interest are politics, India's political economy and foreign policy.The Government of India awarded him the civilian honour of the Padma Shri in 2016.
