Ahead of the consecration ceremony of the Ram temple in Ayodhya on January 22, gifts have been sent to the temple by devotees from across India and other countries as tokens of their reverence.

108-foot-long incense stick

In Vadodara, a massive 108-foot-long incense stick, weighing 3500 kg and created over six months at a cost of over ₹five lakh, was lit by Mahant Nritya Gopal Das of Sri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust.

Prepared using cow dung, ghee, essence, herbs, and flower extracts, the incense stick, ahead of the consecration ceremony of the Ram Mandir, is expected to burn for over a month, with claims that its fragrance will reach a distance of 50 km.

Ram Temple-themed necklace

A necklace on the theme of the Ram temple, adorned with 5000 American diamonds and crafted from 2 kg of silver, has been created by a diamond merchant from Surat.

The design, completed by 40 artisans in 35 days, is not intended for commercial purposes but is meant as a gift for the Ram Temple, reported ANI, citing Kaushik Kakadiya, Director of Rasesh Jewels.

Laddu weighing 1265 kg

A 1265 kg laddu, prepared by a man from Hyderabad, is set to be offered at the Ayodhya Ram Temple.

A silk bed sheet depicting the Shri Ram temple, created by a silk manufacturer from Tamil Nadu, was handed over to Anil Mishra, 'Yajman' of Shri Ram Temple, by Vishwa Hindu Parishad President Alok Kumar.

Additionally, organically produced pure saffron from a group in Kashmir and water from the Kubha (Kabul) river in Afghanistan, sent by two individuals as a gift, were also presented to the temple.

The consecration ceremony of the Ram temple, including the rituals to mark the 'Pran Pratishtha,' will be attended by PM Narendra Modi and a host of dignitaries from different walks of life. The live telecast of the event will be available on Doordarshan, DD News, and DD National.
