Saradha investors block trains in West Bengal

Barasat, (WB), May 2: Investors in Saradha, who had suffered due to the

, on Friday blocked rail traffic in the Sealdah rail section in

's North 24 Parganas district.

Picketeers blocked rail traffic at several places in the Sealdah-Ranaghat, Sealdah-Bongaon and Sealdah-Barasat section for several hours. However, it was alleged that some Trinamool Congress supporters arrived at Garia railway station and attacked the protesters. It was said that they snatched sticks from the policemen and attacked them but the latter remained mere spectators.

Rail traffic was disrupted before the police cleared the lines following which train movement resumed, superintendent of rail police, Sealdah, Utpal Laskar said.

The investors were protesting as they failed to get money following the scam.
