'Sanatana Dharma' Row: K'taka Min Priyank Kharge Takes A Stand For Udhayanidhi Stalin

After Congress MP Karti Chidambaram, Karnataka Minister Priyank Kharge took a strong stand for Minister for Youth Welfare and Sports Development of Tamil Nadu Udhayanidhi Stalin over his remarks on eradication of 'Sanatana Dharma'.

While addressing the media over Stalin's remarks, Kharge stated, "Any religion that does not promote equality or does not ensure you have the dignity of being human is not religion, according to me".

He further stated, "Any religion that does not give equal rights or does not treat you like humans is as good as disease."

However, a little earlier Union Minister Rajnath Singh demanded an apology from the INDIA bloc for Stalin's remarks of abolishing 'Sanatana Dharma' while Union Minister Shobha Karandlaje said Stalin should be sacked out for his remarks.

Union Minister Amit Shah on Sunday said that this is the clear indication that the INDIA bloc wants to abolish Hinduism as it hates Hindutva followed by another BJP leader Nirmala Sitharaman who shared an old video that shows Congress leader speaking on abolishing 'Sanatana Dharma' and BJP.

Meanwhile, Stalin claimed that claimed that he was right over his remarks for 'Sanatana Dharma', and that he never called it genocide as alleged by the BJP. He also questioned whether Prime Minister Narendra Modi meant Congressmen should be killed by 'Congress Mukt Bharat'.

According to some media reports, a delegation of Delhi BJP leaders on Monday submitted a ''protest letter'' at the Tamil Nadu Bhawan here against DMK leader Stalin for his comments against 'Sanatan Dharma'.

Tamil Nadu Minister Stalin's remarks over eradication of 'Sanatana Dharma' at an event organised by the Tamil Nadu Progressive Writers, Artists Association, stirred a huge controversy. He alleged that 'Sanatan Dharma' is against equality and social justice, and that it should be eradicated.

Stalin, also said that 'Sanatan Dharma' is like coronavirus, malaria, and dengue fever and that it should not be opposed but destroyed.
