Salman Khan Claims 'Lawrence Bishnoi Tried To Kill Me' In Police Statement

Salman Khan recently recorded his statement with the police regarding the shooting incident outside his Mumbai residence. He expressed concerns about threats to his family, specifically from the Lawrence Bishnoi gang. His statement has been included in the charge sheet filed by the police.

In his statement, Salman detailed his daily routine and interactions with fans at his Galaxy Apartment in Bandra. He mentioned that he often waves to fans from his balcony and spends time there with family and friends. He also highlighted that he has hired private security for protection.

Threats and Security Measures

Salman recounted an incident from 2022 when his father received a threatening letter, which was found near their apartment building. This prompted a complaint at the Bandra Police Station. Additionally, in March 2023, Salman received an email threat from Lawrence Bishnoi via an employee's official email ID, leading to another complaint at the same police station.

He also mentioned a January incident where two individuals attempted to enter his Panvel farmhouse using fake identities. The Panvel police later informed him that these individuals were from Fazilka village in Rajasthan, which is also Lawrence Bishnoi's village.

Recent Attack Details

Salman described an attack on April 14 this year when he heard sounds resembling firecrackers early in the morning. His bodyguard informed him that two people on a bike had fired a gun at his balcony. He later learned through social media that Lawrence Bishnoi claimed responsibility for this attack.

Following this incident, Salman's bodyguard lodged an FIR with the Bandra Police. In his statement, Salman mentioned Anmol Bishnoi, Lawrence's brother, who took responsibility for the attack via a Facebook post. He believes that Lawrence Bishnoi and his gang associates were behind this firing while his family was asleep.

Professional Front

On the professional front, Salman is currently working on his next film, Sikandar. The film is being directed by AR Muruguadoss and produced by Sajid Nadiadwala.

Salman emphasized that he has instructed all his relatives and family members to remain vigilant at all times. He has been provided Y plus security by Mumbai Police, which includes trained policemen and private security bodyguards for his protection.

"I am a film actor by profession and have been working in the film industry for the last 35 years," Salman stated to the police. "On many occasions, a crowd of my well-wishers and fans gather near my home Galaxy Apartment near the Bandstand in Bandra, Mumbai... I wave my hand from the balcony of the first floor of my flat to show my love to them."

"Earlier, Lawrence Bishnoi and his gang had talked in an interview about killing me and my family," Salman added. "So I believe that Lawrence Bishnoi with the help of his gang associates carried out this firing while my family members were sleeping."
