Sakshi Murder Case: This Is How Accused Sahil Landed In Police Net

In a significant breakthrough in the murder case of a minor girl in New Delhi's Shahbad Dairy area, the accused Sahil was apprehended by the police following a phone call he made to his father, authorities confirmed on Monday.

Providing insights into the arrest operation, the police disclosed that the accused had gone into hiding and turned off his mobile phone. However, after he contacted his father, the police were able to track him through technical surveillance.

"After the incident, the accused fled and sought refuge with a relative in Bulandshahr. However, he made a phone call to his father, leading to his arrest through the use of technical surveillance," shared police sources. It was revealed that Sahil had switched off his mobile phone immediately after committing the murder.

Moreover, police sources disclosed that Sahil traveled to his aunt's house in Bulandshahr by bus following the crime. The accused's mobile phone remained inactive throughout this period.

According to preliminary findings, the victim suffered multiple stab wounds and her skull was crushed with a blunt object, believed to be a boulder, in the Shahbad Dairy area of New Delhi. The details emerged from the initial post-mortem report of the minor girl, as revealed by the police on Monday. However, a comprehensive and detailed post-mortem report is still awaited.

Based on police accounts, it is believed that the accused Sahil was involved in a relationship with the victim girl. A dispute between them on Sunday night allegedly escalated, leading to the tragic murder.

The arrest of Sahil has brought significant developments in the case, allowing the investigation to proceed further and shed more light on the motive and circumstances surrounding the heinous crime.

The Delhi police revealed that the accused intercepted the victim while she was on her way to attend a birthday party and proceeded to beat her to death.

The entire gruesome act was captured on CCTV, which also depicted passersby casually moving by while the brutal killing unfolded. On Monday, the Delhi police took Sahil into custody in connection with the murder case.
