Sakshi Murder Case: Delhi Police Planning To Conduct Sahil’s Psycho-Assessment test

Delhi police have indicated that a psychoanalysis test or psycho assessment test may be conducted on the 20-year-old man accused who brutally murdered his alleged teen girlfriend in full public view on Sunday, according to reports.

The report further mentioned that during the psychoanalysis test, the suspect, Sahil, will be asked a series of questions pertaining to his family, friends, and lifestyle. The purpose of the test is to gain insights into Sahil's mental state and better understand the factors that may have contributed to the heinous crime.

The test is expected to last approximately three hours and will be administered by experienced psychiatrists, as per the sources. Such evaluations aim to provide a comprehensive understanding of the suspect's psychological profile and help authorities assess his mental condition.

CCTV footage captured the horrifying act, showing Sahil repeatedly stabbing the girl while passersby continued their routine. He then proceeded to pick up a stone slab and relentlessly strike her. The chilling video has sent shockwaves across the nation.

The suspect, an air conditioning technician, was apprehended on Monday from Bulandshahr in Uttar Pradesh. Sahil has since confessed to the murder, stating that he was deeply upset about his girlfriend of three years expressing her desire to end their relationship.

During interrogation, Sahil allegedly revealed that the girl had become involved with her former boyfriend, and he admitted to harboring no remorse for his actions. Police sources state that he was infuriated by the girl's continuous disregard for him.

The victim was en route to a birthday party for her friend's son when the tragic attack took place, as confirmed by the police. Additionally, another security footage captured Sahil engaging in conversation with a friend at the same location where he later committed the heinous crime. Officials suspect that he had been waiting there for the teen girl.

For the past two years, Sahil had been residing with his parents and three sisters in a rented house in the Shahbad Dairy area.

After the incident, Sahil switched off his phone and sought refuge at his aunt's residence in Bulandshahr. Police were able to trace his whereabouts following a call made by his aunt to his father, leading to his eventual arrest.
