Sakshi Maharaj for Muslim women's right to enter mosques
Unnao (UP), Apr 16: Rooting for Muslim women's right to enter mosques, firebrand BJP leader Sakshi Maharaj on Saturday asked the judiciary to mediate so that they could get their due.
"Muslim women should also have to right to enter mosques as the Hindu women have the right to enter and perform puja in temples", Sakshi Maharaj, local BJP MP told reporters here.

"The condition of Muslim women is deplorable. They do not have any importance," he alleged.
The BJP leader also made a derogatory comparison in describing the plight of Muslim women. "The court should mediate in this, they should be allowed to enter all mosques in the country", he said, demanding that women should get equal rights and status in society.
On religious fatwas (edicts), Sakshi Maharaj said the country is run as per the constitution and not on fatwas.
